Car is owned and sold by used car Dealer Speedway Auto in Fullerton, CA. CA Buyers are subject to Sales Tax, License and registraton fees. This 1956 Bug was purchased in 1965 from it's original owner, by Pearl Davidson. It has always been in the South Bay in California, purchased in Palos Verdes then remained it's life in Redondo Beach. Pearl kept this Bug in a single car "Barn" style Garage and she would drive the car every weekend. This bug retains its original driveline 1200cc with 70k original miles. She rattle can painted the original black paint as it needed it, and we put a buffer on the original paint so you can see the original patina. The front and rear fenders had some dents and they were hammer and dollied out. Has little rust on the bottom of the doors. Very solid example, The nose is perfect never been damaged, upon inspection we believe the whole body shows no signs of repair using body filler. The car is pictured without the rear bumper, the bumper is included with sale however it is rusted and needs to be restored or replaced. Recently the Clutch, Brakes and Carb had been rebuilt and the car runs excellent with no issues at all. The windshield is cracked, It is missing half of the aluminum trim around the windshield but we have aftermarket window trim that is included with sale. Car has 2 California black plates that was issued to this vehicle in the 60's. Interior is original and needs attention, Has no headliner as that is how Pearl had kept it. We purchased this Bug from Pearl and it is now time for us to let it go to another loving VW owner.
