1980 Volkswagen Rabbit

YOU ARE BIDDING ON A PAIR (2 RABBITS) BOTH ARE DIESEL.
This is a no reserve auction so these will sell as a pair and need to be moved by trailer.
BID WITH CONFIDENCE. I run my own VW rabbit diesel shop, it's all I work on and I know these very very well. If you looking for a chance to swoop up a pair of rabbits and build a "Westy" diesel then this is it. The brown truck does not have a motor but is a diesel. The while car is a 4 door with lots of rust (IN THE REAR END ONLY). The front of the 4 door is clean and dry and could be cut to build a round headlight rabbit truck, or the square light that was made in 1980 only. The white car has a diesel motor that cranks over but needs glow plugs and a few hoses to run.
BROWN SHELL. I know where these rust out and this truck is very very straight and very rust free. I have included pictures of the areas that often see the worst rust and you can see it is original paint and body coating all around. The body has some nice patina coming in as they were located up in the panhandle of TX for years and years. This one was sitting in the dirt with no rear wheels so the the drums are probably full of dirt and the back wheels don't roll. So it will need to towed on a flatbed not a car dolly. The white car rolls pretty easy. They can be loaded with a tractor that is on sight.
BOTH the car and truck are located in Greenville Texas. Both vehicles are missing the title. Once you finish the truck a title can be easily obtained through "the vermont title thing" just google it. Old VW guys use it all the time, you can watch a clip on Youtube of the governor of the state telling you about it, it's very easy. Takes about 6 weeks for it to show up, with plates from Vermont!
