Description:
1972 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon
No reserve! Decided to sell my beloved 72 (my favorite year) VW Bus weekender. I didn't want a pop top, and the ones like this that are not pop tops, are harder to find. It is pretty much a daily driver. I have invested thousands of dollars into it. Body work/paint was done by previous owner, and is not bad. Could use more, but is presentable as is. Worst part is the drivers fender. I had all new brakes done, tune up, exhaust, undercoating, shocks, electric fuel pump, CD player, tires, brand new battery, alternator, foam motor gasket, and much more. A local and expensive VW expert did all of the work. It runs and drives great. Motor/clutch are great. The transmission shifts great except for wanting to pop out of 1st gear. So I just hold it in, or when I can start off in second. Probably just needs an adjustment, never bothered me. Everything works but the heater/fan controls as all of that was removed. Interior is in great shape, except for one spot on upper drivers seat-common on these. Fog lights will need to be hooked up. It's a real head turner, and I get comments/thumbs up/peace signs everywhere I go. It's a great driver/survivor, that could easily be fully restored as you drive. Very reliable and has never let me down! Bid with confidence, check my feedback. Good luck!Vehicle Details:
