1972 VW Baja Champion special Edition !!!!!!!!!!

----NO RESERVE! ---NO RESERVE-----AT THE END OF THIS AUCTION THE HIGH BIDDER WINS THE CAR.

super RARE!!! Only 1000 of these special edition Vws were made 46 years ago. This is an original not a clone or a tribute car.It has all the correct numbers and plates under the hood manufactured March 26th of 1972.It has the extremely rare, steel, badge on the glove box that only came on the Baja Champion Special editions. The car also has the very rare original wheels with all 4 center caps. Everyone looks at this car everywhere I take it and they all want to know what makes it special. You will not see this Baja special edition ever on the road so you can be the only one in your town or even state to have one.

I have had this car for a little over a year and the clear Texas Title is in hand. All the gears work on the transmission and the Odometer is showing 69K miles. Handling is very good for a 46 year old car thanks to the new urethane control arm bushing and tie rod ends. The engine is the correct 1600 dual port with dual relief that starts and idles properly.

This car starts, runs, drives and stops, with great response and pep for a VW. The entire Brake system was replaced and stops very well for a VW. Seats are correct style new seat covers on all seats and new padding in front seats. Wheels are the impossible to find, original and correct 15 inch Baja Champion Special edition wheels that are painted factory color and have the correct center caps. The typical floor rust was in one spot in the battery tray that has been cut out and been replaced with correct sheet metal.

This car will be a great daily driver. The horn, wipers, turn signals, fuel gauge, brake lights, bright and dim headlights lights and brand new chrome and glass fog lights all work. Oil pressure is excellent and oil and alternator light both work as they should.

--UPDATE--

To answer most of the questions I've been getting I've added pics of the new carb on the engine and inside wheel wells on passenger and diver'sside. You are looking at the original paint (not ever repainted inside the fenders). I've also added pics of the pan front and rear on both sides showing the new piece of pan under the battery tray. As far as I can tell now there are NO rust holes in the pan anywhere after the repair.

When it was repainted in 2017. all the windows, headliner, bumpers, lights, fenders interior dash, carpet, chrome, gauges and running boards were removed and new fender beading was installed on all the fenders as well as all new window seals. headliner was also installed with windows and seals removed.
