1971 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon

This is a 1971 Volkswagen Camping Van that I am selling on behalf of a relative. It is in really wonderful condition. Very clean and the features I have tested appear to be in great operating condition. I've only driven it a short distance, but it drove really well. As is typical of vehicles with carburetor engines, you do have to give it some gas for awhile while the engine warms up, but then it's good to go.
I've included several pictures to give you a sense of the van's excellent condition. Of course, it's about 47 years old, so you're going to have some very minor dents and dings, which I have tried to point out in the pictures. The tent and cot work well and the canvas is in good condition. The passenger side door opens and locks just fine, but it appears to be having some trouble opening from the outside with the door key. There is also some wear on one of the elastic fasteners that secures the roof, which I have included as a picture. The mileage listed is per the odometer and I do not know if it represents the actual mileage of the vehicle. I have not been in possession of this vehicle very long so I am not able to answer questions about its service history. No work has been performed on the van while it has been in my care. There is currently no inspection sticker and the van still has temporary dealer plates.
This van was parked in front of my house for one afternoon and I received 3 text messages from different friends asking about it. This is the type of vehicle about which people have frequently said, "Don't sell it--you should keep it!" And I whole-heartedly agree--this would definitely be a really fun vehicle to keep for the family. However, I'm not really handy with cars, so this isn't for me. If you're a Volkswagen van enthusiast or just like fun retro camping vehicles, you're not going to be disappointed with this van.__________________________________________

Update: I was able to find out from my relative that this van was purchased on eBay back in 2013 and neither my relative nor the previous owner knew if there had been any accident repair on the vehicle. My relative indicated that you can tell that it has had some paint work, but that could be because the vehicle is about 47 years old.
