Life is short! It's time to finally treat yourself to the collector car you've always wanted. It's time to enjoy life top-down cruising while you can. If you have been looking forthat classic car investment then this Rare Classic Car Convertible just may have your name on it! These cars have incredible investment potential and have been referred to as rolling bank accounts. Remember, when the top goes down the price goes up! In 1973 exports to the United Stateswere a low 11,924 TR6’s.

This is not your everyday convertible. You see Mustangs and Camaros all over the place. This is a rare European convertible sports car from England! It is in the highly sought after British Racing Green, and Camel interior. This car is on consignment from what we believe is the 2nd owner. This car was restored many years ago and has had only 2000 miles on it since restoration was complete. We have a binder full of documents and receipts showing around $17,000 in all the work/ restoring that was done and tracking the miles back to 1980. We even have the certificate of when it was shipped over from England and documents from the original owner. In my opinion this isthe nicest looking TR6 I have ever seen and has been the most documented that I’ve seen. You can tell this car has really been cherished since the day it was built!

This is your opportunityto own a part of history, and bring back memories of better days, and make new ones when you drop the top, and take it for a cruise with your family and friends on those gorgeous summer days.

The engine is a 2.5L 6 cyl with dual carbs. With one quick pull of the choke knob and 2 pumps of the gas, it will fire up every time and runs great! This engine was completely taken apart and repainted and rebuilt with all new gaskets and seals. There was a new fuel pump, alternator along with new Plugs, wires, distributer cap and rotor. Both carbs were rebuilt along with a bunch of new hoses. It has what looks like stainless exhaust all the way back.

The transmission is a 4-speed overdrive manual. The trans was completely taken apart, painted, and rebuilt with new gaskets and seals. At that time, a new clutch and pressure plate were installed along with a new clutch slave cylinder. The rear end was also taken apart and painted and rebuilt with new seal and gaskets. Keep in mind.. it hashad only aprox. 2000 miles on it since being finished.

This car has front disc and rear drum brakes. It is also power brakes. This car was also converted to disc brakes years ago with a new master cylinder, Calipers, hoses, and front brake pads. This car drives as it should and stops with no problems. Even the emergency brake works as it should.

The steering and suspension was not forgotten about and has also been rebuilt. The front was converted to coil over springs. It’s had new front shocks, New springs, Both new lower control arms, New upper control arms on both sides. New upper ball joints and lower trunnions. Both outer tie rods were also replaced. This car drives nicely down the road, and does not make any funny noises. The 4 tires are like new Yokohamas size 205/70R15. All 4 rims look to be restored and repainted like new with original trim rings that do show some wear and tear.

The body was restored very well in my opinion and looks awesome in what I believe is British Racing green. There is a red pinstripe and the rear fenders are sporting the TR6 & British flag decals to break up the green nicely. The paint has been polished to a high gloss and looks great! The chrome on the front and rear bumpers are like new along with the door handles, luggage rack and gas cap. Both doors open and close nicely, and the same for the trunk and hood. The convertible top goes up and down nicely and latches very well. The top is in good condition although it does have some minor flaws. The convertible top cover and tonneau cover are both like new. The windows roll up and down nicely and the windshield and glass appear to be original and in great shape. The windows on the convertible top are nice and clear.

The interior is like new and if there are any flaws I can’t see them. The interior has new carpet, seats and door panels along with seatbelts installed. The wood dash was replaced with new knobs and I was told all the gauges were restored and all appear to be working as they should. The car had a radio and sound system upgraded with front and rear speakers a base cannon and amps mounted in the trunk. It even has a cd disc changer installed.

Headlight and Taillights work like they should along with the switches. All the brake lights are working. Turn signals and hazards work but do seem to flash a little slow. Even the interior lights still work right. The heating and ventilation system appears to work like it should. Wipers turn on and off and park like they should. The car has been upgraded with a airhorn system, and when you push the button you can hear it click under the hood. But it appears the compressor for that may be bad.

The Nada Classic Car Price Guide that anyone can look up on-line currently hasa 1973 TRIUMPH TR6 CONVERTIBLE listed at$66,800in high condition, which theyconsider an excellent overall vehicle that was completely restored, or an original vehicle showing very minimal wear. Note: This value does not represent a 100-point show car or a #1 vehicle. Those vehicles can reach much higher prices.

Nada has the average condition value at$27,000which theyconsider in good overall condition that could be an older restoration vehicle like this one or a well-maintained original vehicle that is completely operable. The exterior paint, trim, and mechanics are presentable and serviceable inside and out. They say an average condition car is considered a20-Footer!

They have the lowest condition valued at$13,450being considereda deteriorated restoration or a very poor restoration, but mostly usable "As-Is!" The lowest value does not represent a parts car but would be considered as the price for a car needing a complete restoration.

The Nada numbers don'tlie! This is a highly sought after 1973 Triumph TR6 convertible. Some might even call it the Holy Grail of Import cars.
