71 Triumph GT-6 11,040 original miles

1971 Triumph GT6

Original owner purchased in Jacksonville, Fla. for his wife to drive. Had a custom dash built and air conditioning installed. Kept the car when divorced and put it in dry storage in 1974 with only 11,040 miles on it. Sold years later to second owner who was going to race it. Second owner stripped it down, installed triple Webers and cut clearance hole in the hood. Cut additional holes in right front and rear fenders for brake cooling. Project stalled. Sold and transported to Ill, where 3rd owner began collecting parts. Stalled again. Sold to 4th owner and transported to Bremerton, Wa. Collected many used and new parts, removed the Webers and installed stock carbs.
Came down with stage 4 colon cancer at age 78 and gave up. I purchased the car about a year ago, and got it running for the first time since 1974. Virtually everything is new in all systems. Car now runs, drives and stops. No rust on underbody, floors. Never dinged. Needs paint.
