1972 Triumph TR6

About this vehicleThis 1972 Triumph TR6 is a restored vehicle. The owner has had it for 5+ years. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives.Seller's NotesThis is a way-fun car! It gets lots of looks.I have owned this car since 1983. I brought this car to the Midwest from Oklahoma. It has been garaged the entire time. It sat 20+ years due to smoldering wires under the dash (mouse) when I brought it out of storage one spring day long ago.
In winter of 2017, I commissioned Nostalgia Motors (Cottage Grove, WI) to rebuild the car. I have noted these items within photo description. The sale will include ALL extra parts (extra seats too!). You will have the ability to resell the used parts as is or rebuild and resell yourself (ideal). I simply do not have the time. There is a fair amount of money in parts.I am in the process of downsizing my life. It includes the house and toys. As such, the TR is on the list to be let go. 🤨 Sold as isExteriorRagtop roadster convertible (excellent condition)Original paint - Cocoa brown - marks were touched up to maintain the original paintInterior is tan/brown
Mileage: there is less than 15,000 on the rebuilt engine. This was completed around 1988. Guessing there is about 156K miles on the body.InteriorThe TR needs the carpeting replaced. I simply do not have the time anymore. For reference, a new OEM wool set is sale priced for $600 at Moss Motors. EngineMany items have been replaced and/or modernized.- New wire harness- New distributor complete with electronic ignition. Simply put, no springs nor points. Yay! I have stories to share...- New Weber carburetors! What a sweet setup- New LED headlights- New bulbs for instrument panel- New shoulder belts installed- New battery with new securing plate- All new rubber components replaced where ever possible- New brake master cylinder- New clutch master cylinder- New clutch slave cylinder- New gas sending unit- New gas pump- New plugs and wires- Gas tank cleaned and refinished- Radiator refreshed- New thermostat- New brakes including lines, calipers, rotors, drums, and pads- Replaced front and rear bearings- New tires- New stainless wheel trim rings- super polished!- New trim rings for the headlights- same thing...shiny- New oil conversion kit to enable ease for oil changes (right thing to do)-l- New rear lever arm shocksSince then, I have had the TR over to Foreign Car Specialists in Madison- Fine tune the Webers- Install the Monza exhaust system- Wrap the exhaust header
What is left to do?- Need to replace the front engine seal. Dang minor leak...I completely forgot about this during the restoration.- Windshield is something I had planned on, though it works fine as is for now. Low priority.- Windshield wiper motor was never a priority for me. It barely ever worked. I have used RainX always!-l- Interior carpet needs to be replaced (noted above)- Radio. I have a modern radio ready for install. I was waiting to do the interior.
I may have missed some items here. So many new parts and I suspect that there will be one or two other items that I have missed. Custom Delivery Instructions
