Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this well-preserved GT6+ Coupe in rare original condition. This car was just purchased from it's local California owner who purchased this car a few years back and mechanically recommissioned it. This included a fuel and brake service, newly fitted radial tires, and a tune-up. As a result, the car runs well and is a very fun driver. PLEASE SEE VIDEO.The bodywork on this car is extremely honest and nice overall with very good panel fit. There's the usual small dings, chips, scrapes that are associated with a very original car that was used as a daily driver for the most part of it's early life, as a normal transportation car... The paintwork is 80% completely original in it's hugely attractive and rare Laurel Green paintwork. At some point early in it's life, a small repair was made to the rear of the car and a paint blend was applied from the car's inner rear flanks to about the mid roof section. It's now showing some age. The rest of the car's paint is the original.Brightwork is all original and is decent to good overall. The windshield is the original Triplex, just like the rest of the glass, and has received a new glazing rubber and inner finisher strip. The car still retains it's original pair of Lucas headlights. The wheels are nicely refinished and are from a slightly later car. The original wheel set is included.The car's interior trim is very nice. The original wood veneered dashboard, top pad, side pads, steering wheel all look excellent. The car is still fitted with it's British Leyland radio. A new black loop carpet kit has been fitted. The car's nicely padded and upholstered seats has been trimmed in leather hide. The car still retains it's original interior panel kit, headliner, visors.Mechanically, the car is very good. The engine starts easily on the key with little smoke on choke, but goes quickly away when warmed up. The gearbox, clutch, steering and brakes all seem very good. The newer grippy tire set rolls smoothly and quietly along the road. The car's underside looks completely original and rustfree. The engine compartment has been carefully steam cleaned and is presenting nicely, looking very original. The car is a very good driver overall and is fun and attractive in this two-seater sports coupe styling.Overall, this largely original GT-6+ in great colors is a rare California find. It's an attractive, honest, and enjoyable car to drive and represents good value in the current market.
