1973 TR-6 Triumph TR6 2.5L **UPDATED PHOTOS & INFO**
1973 Triumph TR-6 Base
.
I have received several questions about this car, so let me add the following: Today I decided to drive it after a 6 month storage in the garage. After turning the battery cutout switch to ON, opening the fuel shutoff valve, it started right up. I drove around for a while on this 90 degree day, and the engine temperature stayed one mark above C on the gauge. Oil pressure remained at 50 psig with the engine at idle after the drive. It's an excellent car. I tried to add a drive around video to the additional photo link below, but that website does not accept large videos.
Some of the questions I have received: Is the undercarriage clean? I took photos under the car when I got back, I don't have a lift so I couldn't get those beautiful shots of the car from below, but you can see the condition of the undercarriage from those pictures.
Another question I get is: What's the lowest you'll take? Well as you know, car selling is a lot more than just numbers. I want this car to become someone's treasure, something they can take to club meets, shows, or on a weekend getaway trip. So the lowest I would take on any car often depends on the buyer and their intention for the car. If you are interested, make me an offer. If it's reasonable, you may have just bought a beautiful TR6. The worst thing that can happen is I can make a counteroffer. But I won't ever directly answer the question: "What's the lowest you'll take?
Other questions are about the level of restoration, engine, body, interior. Well, this car was completely gone through. The engine was rebuilt, the interior is all new, the paint was a complete re-spray. All this was over about a 3 year period.
Good luck, email me with any questions and if you have a good suggestion as to how I can post the drive around videos, let me know!
