Here up for bids is this very nice Triumph Spitfire. This car has been enthusiast owned and well cared for, it comes with a folder of receipts detailed the maintenance, service and upgrades done over the years. A nice example of a final year Spitfire.

The car has had one repaint in its original color of Brooklands Green. The paint was done to a good standard, there's no overspray or masking lines evident, the prep and application were done well. Since that time the car has picked up a few minor chips and scuffs if you look closely. What you won't find are rust issues, this car is extremely solid with zero problems anywhere top or bottom.
Tires are quality Kumhos in good condition on all 4 corners.

The soft top was recently replaced and shows like new.

The hardtop shows good fit and finish throughout.

Nice looks from every angle.

The windshield was replaced along with the gasket and trim, all are in excellent condition. The 4th photo shows the Monza exhaust that was fitted to the car, great sound!

Nicely finished trunk with a matching Kumho spare and factory jacking equipment still in its protective pouch. Also included is a shop manual and the car's service records.

The interior is all original and still looking good.

Sheepskin covers for the seats are included. All gauges are operable and show consistent readings. Heater, fan, horn, wipers, lights and signals all work correctly. Classic period correct cassette radio still has good sound.

Nice dash with no cracks. Windows all wind smoothly, locks all work. Original ID tags and labels are all present.

This Spitfire runs and drives very well, the motor makes good power with great throttle response and a smooth powerband. Service receipts over the years show a new radiator, water pump, alternator, electronic ignition, and brake pads. The shocks were recently replaced, this car handles like it's on rails.

No rust issues on the forward tub sections. The car had a transmission rebuild in 2010 at 49K miles, along with a new clutch, pressure plate and throwout bearing. It shifts perfectly.
Since the time these photos were taken I've made one modification - a manual choke conversion kit from Joe Curto was installed, replacing the troublesome coolant activated choke. For a car that ran this nicely, it was hard to start! Now with manual control of the choke it starts on the mark every time.

Clean and original undercarriage with no rust and no issues, just a nice Spitfire that's ready for motoring enjoyment.
