I bought this 4runner while stationed in California in 2016. I purchased it because it was so nice and had no rust. It has been a labor of love. I have more time and money in this 4runner than you could ever imagine!
This 4runner has an engine and transmission swap from a 2002 Toyota Tacoma. When I did the swap the truck I used for the swap had 41,000 miles and the timing belt had just been done. It now has 47,600 miles.
The interior was so nice being from a low mileage Tacoma I also installed the complete interior to include the center console. We cut and retrofitted the firewall and all of the AC heating and ducting for the 4Runner as well as the dash instrument panel and center console. The air conditioning and heat work perfect!
This is an original sr5 with the oem Toyota sunroof and the sunshade is perfect.
Rear windows and front power windows and power locks work as they should.
Exterior
This 4runner still has the original paint and stripes from the factory. I chose to keep it original as possible on the outside. It has a few dings and scratches but still looks good. The removable top has been resprayed.
This 4runner drives and pulls twice as good as the original 3.0 motor with the same fuel mileage. I have never taken this 4runner off the pavement.
