1989 Toyota 4 x 4 pickup truck, automatic, 22RE engineThis truck is prime for full restoration. It’s original paint, body is fantastic shape. The engine was rebuilt about 5,000 miles ago, and the transmission was rebuilt about 15,000 miles ago.It’s got 215K miles. New Bilstein shocks, new Pirelli tires, new leafsprings in the rear, and all the parts are included (Moog) to have the front end totally rebuilt. Also comes with multiple service manuals and the original owners manual (see pics).One of the ball joints is creaky (but all new Moog front end replacement parts are included with the sale, see pics). It will need brakes soon and wheel bearings. Truck cap doesn't lock, and interior rear window could use a new latch. Bumpers are a little dinged up. Transmission oil pan plug leaks a couple drops here and there. Interior seats have some rips in fabric (see pics).It is freshly inspected and I will be getting it smogged prior to sale. It runs great. The Lexus automatic transmissions in these are geared low, so they aren’t the quickest off the line, but it will cruise nice and smooth at 90mph.If you want to restore one of these, you will have a hard time finding a cleaner one. The original owner lived in my neighborhood, and he sold this to another neighbor of mine. That neighbor sold it back to the original owner, and then the original owner sold it to me a few years later. So, while Carfax will show 4 owners, it’s really only had three (the 1st and 3rd owner were the same guy).Please feel free to ask any questions.
