1985 Toyota Celica GTS, 22R-E 2.4L - 5 Speed manual, convertible

This is a very original, unmolested example of the third generation of Toyota’s Celica. This is the last year for rear wheel drive on the Celica. Overall, this GTS is in excellent condition for the age. The paint on the car is original as I can tell. I took paint thickness readings on the car to verify no repaint on metal surfaces. The underside of the car is perfect. I noticed no rust. It is incredibly solid and clean. It now has approximately 114,950 miles. An engine oil and filter change was recently performed. As you might expect, this Toyota runs excellent. I purchased this very original GTS from a retired NC State Trooper, who lives in Raleigh NC. He told me that his mom bought the car when it was about a year old. She was living in Florida then. When his mom passed, the car was driven sparingly by his dad until he passed. Then the GTS came to the Trooper. He was a man of large stature and the car didn’t fit him well. He hung on to it for nostalgic purposes for a few years, and then offered the car for sale. The GTS runs and drives flawlessly. The only thing that I noticed is the brakes seem a little soft to me. I did an extensive walk around / driving video. I also did a cold start video. Please take the time to look at it as I go over the car’s exterior and show the defects in the paint in detail as well as go over the power equipment. Don't hesitate to reach out with questions.Factory Equipment:

· Factory equipment includes: cloth upholstery, A/C, highly adjustable driver’s seat, power windows, mirrors and locks.· Power comes from Toyota’s legendary 22RE, 2.4-liter fuel injected overhead cam, inline-4 engine, rated in this application at 114 horsepower and 140 lb-ft of torque. That output is sent to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission to the rear differential.

Known Flaws:

· Paint chips on car in various locations· Trunk release cable needs repair – opens fine with key· All power windows work except for the rear window on the driver’s side· Tiny defects on inside trim of driver’s door – cracks on the dashboard cover· Power door locks are not operable· Radio antenna does not retract fully. Radio and CD exchanger in trunk have not been tested
I have a clean NC title in my name.
I've tried to be as complete and honest about the condition of this car as possible, but there may be defects not disclosed that I am not aware of. Please feel free to reach out with any questions you might have. I will do my best to answer them.
