Vehicle DetailsThe time has come to list my old girl. I have used this as my run around rig/something to tinker with for the past 4 years. It has been great to me and I would like to see it go to an equally loving home.
-Recent mechanical work- New big valve head and torquer camshaft from Redline Performance. New HD timing set with steel guides, and I re sealed the oil pan with Toyota FIPG while I was in the area. New 31 10.5 15 Goodyear Wrangler authorities all within the last 1000 miles.
1988 Toyota 4runner SR5 with 231k miles. 22re with a 5 speed transmission. One of the more optioned ones that I have seen- power windows, power locks, power mirrors, sunroof(with hard to find cover), cruise control, A/C, and power antenna that all work minus the antenna (needs a new mast). It even has the original radio that works great. It runs and drives great- I run around town in it several times a week.
I had it painted in 2019. The paint isn't show quality, but a solid driver quality with 2 small spots of peeling clear from getting a little too excited with the pressure washer not long after having the paint work done. The top is Raptor lined and looks just as good today as it did 3 years ago. The interior is in good shape for a 30+ year old rig, but not absolutely perfect. It needs a new windshield and the drivers side auto locking hub needs repaired/replaced for the 4x4 to lock on.
I have a stack of receipts for it over the years including a new engine at 156k miles in 2005. It has lived its life in California and Arkansas, so no rust issues what so ever.
