1989 Toyota Supra SPORT ROOF

Selling my 1989 Supra Turbo 7MGTEPurchased this car from the original owner in Southern California after he owned it for 32 years. He was selling it due the head gasket beginning to leak. Shipped the car to Hawaii. Engine was removed disassembled externally, painted and head gasket replaced using Toyota HG, ARP head bolts and changed most engine gaskets. Head was flat but had it properly machined at local machine shop. Replaced the timing belt and bought a new battery.
I've spent many years searching for this combination of Silver, gray interior, 5 speed, single turbo and STOCK. Didn't care to buy a modified Supra or other colors like blue, burgundy, or green exteriors and interiors other than gray or black.
Mobil 1 synthetic oil and Toyota oil filter. New air cleaner, all wipers. Also replaced the engine hood struts (OEM - expensive!!) because the old ones would not keep the hood up. Did not want to use cheap $30-40 Amazon struts.
Replaced the alternator as well.
Tires are very good condition and do not need to be replaced anytime soon.
A/C compressor would not turn on with A/C switch. Replaced the high pressure switch to no avail. Took it to the Toyota dealership and they could not figure it out either. Wired a separate manual switch (ignition must be on) to turn on the compressor. A/C works this way but depending on the climate, this is not the desired long term approach. In Hawaii it's too hot for the evaporator/condenser components to freeze over and we don't drive far. I've put on less than 200 miles since I've owned it.
The interior is amazingly in good condition. NO rips or tears in the upholstery, even the driver's seat is good. Previous owner was mindful not to drag his bum as he exited the car for 32 years! Love the driver centered layout of the gauges giving it a cockpit look and feel. Stock cassette player. I will provide the SEC code (Toyota's Anti-Theft System) will render the player inoperable if it is stolen or the battery disconnected).
Includes the factory jack, roadside reflectors and tool kit to remove the roof top. Factory service manual and original Owner's Manual also included.
There are 2 small dents on the hood and several door dings along the driver's side mostly and a few on the passenger side. These do not show up well in the photos. All of these can easily be removed by a PDR tech (paintless dent remover). There is also a small chip on the spoiler (see photo).
My intention was to keep this classic but after recently purchasing a Lotus Elise and owning now 10 vehicles, I've decided to hopefully find someone else who can appreciate her.
