Up for bidding (NO RESERVE) is my1981 Toyota pickup "Diesel engine" with a 5 speed manual transmission. This truck is in very good condition compared to others I've seen. No rust at all (Arizona truck) and it is mechanically sound. The transmission and clutch coordinate the gears as the speed increases. Only problem is when you have it in 4th gear it will dissengage. It doesn't happen all the time, it might need some adjustments. The transmission is in good shape. no strange noises or anything. The engine smokes only because it is a "DIESEL ENGINE" and not because it need to be repaired. You'll be surprised about this engine and the whole truck.The tires are about 2 years old. It has a spare tire and the original jack. it used to have two diesel tanks, one was removed leaving the original in place. The main fuel hose will need to be replaced.I was using this truck daily but I bought another Toyota truck and parked this one. It's recomended to have an oil and filter change done because the "filter and charge" idiot lights on the dash stay on for a while until the engine is worm. The rear brakes might need some attention too. they are ok, but I drove the truck throug a wash and water and dirt caused a squeak. The noise ceased after a while. They might just have some dirt inside the drums.The AC unit is disconnected and the heater works perfect.All lights, wipers, gauges are ok except the horn. The seat will need to be re upholstered. Dash is cracked but it has a cover.Please look at the pictures closely. I'm trying to describe the truck the best I can.
