1979 Toyota FJ Cruiser

1979 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser 4X4 in excellent condition with an exhaustive frame off restoration in 2010. 60,015 Original Miles on Original In-Lin 6 cylinder 4230cc Engine.
Restoration details: Toyota 2F engine completely rebuilt both block and head with new pistons, camshaft, bearings, gaskets and seals. The carburetor was completely disassembled and rebuilt and the test ran before installation. The oil sending unit was replace and the stock air filter was replaced by a K&N filter. Power steering was installed using a Toyota OEM gearbox and a GM pump. The stock exhaust manifold was replaced by a header exhaust and installed all new piper and muffler. New vacuum advance distributor with a Pertronix electronics ignition, flame thrower coil, and new Optima red top battery was installed. The old radiator was replaced with a new aluminum radiator for better cooling and a high performance electric fan installed. New antifreeze, new water pump, thermostat and sending units installed. Completely disassembled and inspected transmission, some bearing and gears replaced, all new gaskets and sealing installed and topped off with new fluids as well as split transfer case with new seals and gaskets. T case brace installed to strengthen the factory case where there is a potential for cracking (no cracks observed). All new clutch system with new disc, pressure plate, throw out bearing, pilot bearing, reground flywheel, new slave cylinder and OEM hose. Complete Vintage Air Land Cruiser system installed. HFS 4" Lift Spring, 1/5" barbell shackles, leveler block, polyurethane bushings, greaseable spring hangars, and shocks installed. HFS Lift Springs are heavier and softer riding that any other Land Cruiser lift springs on the market. Brake system was restored with calipers, pads and rear brake cylinders OEM. New stainless steel braided lines installed, brake master cylinder rebuilt. Tires are new Dean Mud Terrain Radiao SXT 33X9.5 R15. Wheels are new 15x8 steel wagon powder coated black. Spector custom roll bar pad installed. New headliner installed. All body parts were completely disassembled, media blasted, primed and painted Sterling Gray metallic.
