1981 Toyota Land Cruiser

Hey everyone, well i'm putting my 1981 Toyota Land Cruiser Diesel 3B 5 speed BJ42 up for sale...I need some room in garage so it's got to go. The previous owner did a frame off rebuild of the body with new metal including: floors front and back, front and back quarters, rockers and i think bibs too. So there is no rust on this truck. He was not a professional body man. He also sandblasted every inch of the frame and coated it and the underside of the body. it looks very clean as you can see in the pics. New items on this truck: windshield, wiring, all window rubbers, OME suspension, body mounts, speedo cable, glow plugs...probably forgetting something.... as you can see the roof is black and i was trying to take it off until i found another top that is factory white and that will arrive next week so it will come with the truck if the buyer wishes. Things that i've done to the 42 since i've owned it: replaced rear gear set, and front gear set as they made a lot of noise. Now its perfect. The factory seats, as you can see in the pics, are ripped and in rough shape so i installed a set of mint prelude seats. I also had new glow plugs installed as it would smoke white pretty bad at cold start but now it doesn't smoke at all. I had a land cruiser mechanic shop go through it as well and all is good. The Km are unknown as the PO put in a new gauge cluster but he told me the old one said 87 000 so it could be 187 or 287... who knows. The thing i do know is the truck runs awesome, has amazing power for a 3B and gets unbelievable mileage. I actually thought the gas gauge was busted as it seemed like the needle never moved! This truck also has the H55 5 speed. it's not original to the truck but a very nice addition, however when in fifth gear and you take your foot off the pedal it will pop out of gear. All the gears work fine, it just pops out of fifth. Also when driving the truck, and while under load, there is some black smoke coming out of the tail pipe. I have a diaphragm that i never got around to installing that should fix that issue which will come with the truck. The spare tire on the back does NOT go with the truck but there will be a matching tire and rim to the ones on the truck now. Just have to get it from the farm. The rims are the wagon wheels which i plastidipped black. It peels off really easy. The tires are a 32 Toyo that my mechanic told me are an expensive tire and not made anymore. I'd say like 85 percent tread on em....lots. I'm gonna try and load a link to video of a cold start just to show you the truck running. Oh the PO also put a new style headliner in the truck which is unusual but actually pretty nice. That's partly why i was gonna try and just clean off the roof and paint it back to factory. Everything works on the 42 and just so everyone knows this truck is a Canadian truck with a 24 volt 3B Diesel and a 5 speed. In the Land Cruiser world....there really is nothing as cool (well maybe an FJ45...but that's it!) If i've missed something just send and email and i'll try reply ASAP. Thanks. There is a low reserve on this truck as it has to go...just needs a few minor things to make it perfect. Don't miss out on this fine truck. Here is a link to cold start and running of 42.
