1986 Subaru XT

Selling my beloved Subaru XT. I rescued this gem from under a tree years ago and brought it back to life. I then drove it for years until getting a WRX. If you are interested, contact me and I will gladly answer questions. Odometer is at 142,000 miles, and used primarily for long road trips and special events with its good highway MPGs. Tires are old snow tires with the studs removed, they will work temporarily but they are very old and starting to crack, so I recommend new tires eventually. The car runs good but has a very tiny oil leak which just happens to drip onto the exhaust so you can see smoke coming out of the hood when you stop at intersections. I been driving it like that for a few years since the oil leak was too small to worry about for me. I am moving houses and have too many cars to move that I have collected over the years, otherwise, I would not be selling this beauty.
It used to be wired up for a stereo, but it is no longer installed. The interior is mostly complete with a few cracks here and there, removable sunroof, battery relocated to the trunk. A high amp GM alternator was converted in since the original alternators were far too expensive to replace. Has extra fog lights in the bumper.

Car runs and drives good. The brakes went soft while it was sitting in the garage for the past year and needs a brake job. Otherwise you can start driving it. The AC also did work but didn't turn on when testing it for this listing, It R12 system and may just need topped up oh refrigerant. Turbo is in good shape and easily makes 12-15 psi under boost. Has aftermarket boost gauge. Comes with leather covered spare tire and trunk mount bracket, also a spare wheel matching the ones on the car now. The front drivers fender does have a dent that I never fixed. Car is As-Is, it isn't perfect but its decent for how rare these cars are. 4WD does work but it's been a while since I've actually used it.
