This 1969 Subaru 360 is a Deluxe model with a removeable roof and only 6711 miles on it. It is a great example of early Subaru's in America and perfect for someone who is looking for a project to finish up.
Car was purchased by a co-worker with the intent of a light restoration and using it in the new car showroom of the Subaru dealership he works at. However, the owner of the dealership decided to go in a different direction. The vehicle is a solid platform that was originally was sold in VT and used sparingly in it's early days and then placed in storage. The previous owner acquired it and trailered it to car shows and rolled it out on the included display dolly. He planned to finish the restoration and give it to his daughter, but she did not want it. My co-worker acquired it at that time.
Perfect project for someone who has the time to finish off the work done by the previous owner or put their own spin on it. The prior owner had replaced the fuel tank but ran the vehicle off an aux gas can as he did not want top put fuel into the tank until everything was complete. Body is solid although the car appears to have been repainted and is not concours quality with evidence of respray in multiple locations.
Interior seats appear to be vinyl under some sort of older upholstered seat covers.Roof is removeable however the rear plexiglass window has multiple scratches. Tires are dry rotted and would need to be replaced if the new owner plans on driving it. The headliner has several rips/tears in it and the car needs a thorough cleaning as a starting point. Copies of various Subaru manuals for the vehicle are included. Vehicle is being sold on a transferable NYS registration
