1953 Studebaker Commander 4H-W3 4-Door SedanThe Good: 040,450. Miles showing ( 99% sure that is actual ) Know nothing about the car's life from 1953-1965The person I purchased car from said he got it & parked it in a pole building from 1965-1988. I got it running, then drove it out of that pole building and 50 miles home when I purchased it in 1988. I drove it maybe between 100-200 miles at the most before parking it in a garage, which is where it's been ever since.It has a new ( as of 06-1988 ) dual exhaust system that I had installed during the short time I drove it.Minimal rust & very straight sheet metalNearly complete carThe Bad: One tire is flatGas tank had internal rust, but it has been cleaned & boiled out by radiator shop, but has not been reinstalled ( is laying in the trunk )Both front door windows are crackedThere is no headliner, carpet or seat upholstery left to speak ofBumpers have surface rustPot metal tail & headlight trim is pittedMissing - CarbMissing - Trunk HandleMissing - Grille Bar ScriptsMissing - Wheel CoversThis car will need a total restoration, but is a very solid car to start out with.
