World’s Rarest Roadster

This is a one off two door two passenger roadster with elongated boot (trunk) featuring a complete walnut burled ‘liquor refreshment’ compartment holding several crystal decanters, Sterling silver sandwich boxes and crystal glasses. In the boot is a 6 piece custom luggage set and a picnic hamper. Not since the early 30’s had HJ Mulliner produced a true high styled roadster and the only French styled one.

Mrs.Sybil Rhodes was an American and wife of F.E. Rhodes Esquire (The Colonel) ..While in the States she had owned a French sports car however; the Colonel would not permit anything French on Thorpe Underwood Hall his 119 room estate with historical significance back to the Crusades.. He arranged instead to have H.J.Mulliner build a special French styled Rolls Royce Roadster for Sybil’s personal use.

This car has been subject to a 5 year 5000 hour restoration and major award winner of 10 national events including the Rolls Royce Regional Queen Elizabeth 11 Trophy for Best in Show

in addition to being displayed at Pebble Beach. 2023 George Washington best in show award plus invitations to Saint Michael’s Concours and Audrain Concours for this year, but had to withdraw due to adverse effect of amoxicillin on my kidneys.
