1986 Carrera Targa With Many Updates

1986 Porsche 911

1986 Carrera Targa Guards Red with Black leather interiorin great condition with no dash cracks or torn bolsters. Mostly original paintand all original glass. 130K original miles with extensive service recordsdating back to 05/07/1997. This owner sold the car on 05/19/2022 to the Indyshop that serviced the car from 09/21/1999 to 12/15/2021. I purchased the carfrom the Indy shop in June of 2022. The owner has provided over 38 repairinvoices during entire ownership which are available upon request.

Interim owner Indy shop/Werkshop replaced the tires and thetarga top covering during their brief ownership.

Since mypurchase, I have done extensive service/repairs and they are listed below.

Replace windshield washer pump, both horns, battery andrear-view mirror.

Remove engine/transmission to address oil leaks; Replaceintermediate shaft “O” ring, front main seal, rear main seal, head temp sensor,oil pressure switch, breather housing gasket and thermostat “O” ring.

Replace clutch & resurface flywheel.

Replace fuel and air filter, ignition wires and both belts.

Powder coat fan and housing

Replace left and right inner and outer axle boots

Replace both heater control boxes and cable housings.

Rebuild all four calipers, repaint and install new pads andhardware along with resurfacing rotors and replacing flex brake lines.

Remove oil tank, clean and repaint along with new sendingunit gasket.

Replace supply and return oil lines from thermostat toengine along with “S” flex hose’ Replace front flex oil lines from thermostatto front cooler.

Transmission: Replace 1st, 2ndand3rdgear synchros along with 1st-2ndoperatingsleeve; 3rdgear needle bearing was cracked and therefore alsoreplaced.

Replace alternator due to erratic charging/discharging (newAlt has 3 year warranty)

Install Turbo tie rods and align car

Check and recharge AC with R134. System previouslyconverted.

R & R rear bumper and have repainted due to rock chips

Replace drivers side seat reclining motor and repair wireharness

Engine still has front oil leak and it has been determinedthat the source is the front-nose bearing “O” ring. Therefore, the engine hasbeen Disassembled and main, rod, oil pump shaft bearings and timing chains havebeen replaced. New ARP rod bolts were used. All new seals and gaskets were alsoused in re-assembly. Replace all three engine flexible fuel lines and all sixinjectors
