1986 Porsche 944 - 5 speed manual

Stone Gray Metallic with Black Leatherette interior (Sport Seats option) 15" White Gold Fuchs Alloy Wheels.

Includes factory space saver spare tire, air compressor, documentation and keys.

The car is reliable, it always starts and goes where I want to.

But since July 2023 the shifting has become hard, the car needs a new clutch throwout bearing, to fix it a new clutch kit will be given to the new owner.

Car's history:

This car was bought new as a wedding present to the original owner in 1986.

I (the seller) bought the car from the original owner in January 2019 with 132,000 miles.

Odometer was changed by Hillmuth Certified Automotive of Columbia Maryland in 2001 at 110,000 miles for a new one with 0 mile.

Between 2011 and 2018 (7 years) the car was parked in a house garage and not used.

Receipts of some of the work done under original owner ownership is available, including service performed to get the car ready for sale in December 2018.

The following work was performed by Hillmuth Certified Automotive of Columbia Maryland:

- Old gas was flushed

- All new fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel hose and fuel screen install

- Injectors were cleaned and new seals installed

- Engine oil change and new oil filter

- Top off all fluid levels

I (the seller) bought the car because of the combination of Body color/Wheel color/Seat type:

Body color is “Stone Gray Metallic” (color code LY7U)

Fuchs Wheels are “White Gold Metallic” (option code 485)

Interior is black with Sport seats “Leather/Leatherette” (option code 946)

In January and February 2019, under its new ownership, the car had maintenance performed by Porsche Manhattan (Manhattan Motorcars):

- 4 new Tires

- New Water Pump

- New Accessory Belt

- New Engine Timing belt with Tensioners and New Balance Shaft Belt

In December 2021, the current owner replaced with new parts:

- 4 brake rotors, brake pads and brake lines, new brake fluid

- 4 struts (KYB)

- clutch master and slave cylinders

Under current ownership the car was used as a leisure car and has proven to be reliable.

The AC and heat do not work and it is believed to be because of a faulty AC Control Unit Head.

The car is now offered for sale with 140,500 miles, unmodified, completely stock, the original and working Blaupunkt Monterey SQR 23 radio remains in the center console.

Car is located in Fort Lee, New Jersey. If transport is chosen by the buyer I will work with transporter to arrange pick up.
