Selling my baby! This beautiful eye-catcher has been in my family for a few years and it's time for it to get spoiled by a new family. Let me share some information about this garage-kept Porsche and what we have have done with it.In the past couple of years (when the shutdown started) we decided to start bringing our 912 back to its original condition and replacing almost everything to get as close to a new car as possible. From the interior to the exterior, every inch has been looked at.Starting with the engine, although the odometer shows 83k miles, the engine has around 500 miles since it has been freshly built and upgraded from a 1.6l to a 1.75l with a mild cam to it. This added around 40 or so horsepower. During the engine build, the carbs were upgraded from the Solex it comes with. We also changed almost every component that goes with it, including the starter, relays, harness, distributor, wires, etc. While the engine was out at the machine shop, we replaced the clutch as well as all fluids. We recently replaced the shocks, new brake pads, steel braided brake lines, restored the original calipers, got a new gas tank with new lines and new fuel pump. Another thing we replaced for reliability purposes was the wiring harness and the fuse box, so almost every wire and hose in the car is new.Moving on to the body and interior, the car is probably 99% rust-free. We replaced the entire front subframe as it was rusty, refreshed the underbody coating which adds protection, and got a fresh coat of paint. All glasses/windows are original and have original Porsche German stamps. The seats have been re-upholstered as well. Interior carpet is original. AC/heat work, new speakers and wires all around, battery is still under warranty. The ignition has been replaced with a push-button start as well. New tires have less than 1000 miles on them.On the not-so-good/needs love and care/chasing perfection aspect, although we have restored almost all of it, there are a few things that would make this car perfect. The dash has a crack on it so it needs to be re-upholstered or replaced, the interior carpet could be replaced as it is still the original one and has some tear and wear (it looks good though). Also, the rear driver side taillight has a crack on it and the front yellow turn signals have marks on it. Lastly, these cars are very finicky with their carburetors and tunes; the last time I had them tuned was mid-summer around 90-degrees Georgia humid weather. Right now with the colder and drier days it doesn't run as good as it can so a tune would be recommended depending on which part of the country the next owner lives in.I'm sure I'm forgetting some things that have been replaced or that are awesome about the car, but overall this car is absolutely gorgeous, an attention grabber everywhere you go, and certainly magazine worthy. Here's a video of the car running and full walk-around https://share.icloud.com/photos/0d8Zw_dbynSPSIuM69kgUI-1Q I hope whoever buys this car is as much of a purist as I am and truly appreciates everything this car brings to life. It's been a favorite, we have lots of memories with it, and it will be missed.Car is sold as-is, there are no current extended warranties with it. Buyer is responsible for shipping arrangement.
