1978 Porsche 911 Targa Chassis

1978 Porsche 911

This is a 1978 targa shell that appears to be very solid with no rust or evidence of any accident damage. Portions of the front tank support and trunk area have been cut out, as shown in the photos. No idea why this was done, as I acquired the car in this manner and don't know the history. I have had this for at least a dozen years, and I have always intended to get to this project, but I realize now that this may never happen. Other than the cuts to the front tank/trunk area, this is a very straight, solid chassis. Wire harness is intact. VIN number is stamped in the front trunk and the data plate is also present. In response to several questions, the chassis comes as pictured. However, if the car is purchased at the buy now price, I will include the following at no additional charge:- pair of bare door shells- steering rack and steel front crossmember- a front pan and additional sheetmetal from a donor car
