First time for sale to the public since being sold in 1974 at the Porsche dealership in (Glendale) Los Angeles, California.
Original paint aside from steel flares/tail added in 1977 bya Porsche shop in Los Angeles.
An Uncle/nephew owned this 911 for 40 plus years until 2018.
Upon the Porsche’s sale in 2018, it went into my housed collection of impeccable, well documented and very original examples of classic Porsche models that are rotated into and out of the collection yearly or so.
This 1974 911 comes with a giant file showing meticulous maintenance back to when purchased new at Allred Porsche in Glendale, California in 1974 by the uncle/his company.
Always serviced at the Porsche dealership or a premier Porsche shop in L.A. such as TLG in North Hollywood.
TLG rebuilt the original engine about 10k miles ago.
Steel rear fenders flares installed by a Porsche shop in Los Angeles in 1977. A whale tail and BBS rims were added at that time as well.
Once again, the Porsche, except for the flares and tail, is original, glossy paint that is in amazing condition.
This includes original paint in both door jambs, under the hood, inside the front hood compartment, in the engine compartment jamb, on the front fenders, the front hood, the cowl, gas flap, the doors and the roof etc.
The original California blue and gold license plates issued to the 911 in 1974, after it was purchased new at Allred Porsche in Glendale, California, are still on and registered to the car.
All original floorpans. NO RUST. All original and no rust around battery area as well.
Original books with dealer service stamps. Every receipt kept on the Porsche over all these decades. See log below for detailed list of all the invoices dating back to when new.
Engine rebuild about 10k miles ago by highly regarded TLG Porsche in North Hollywood, California.
In 2018, entire suspension gone over. New tires and repro, year appropriate, Fuchs were installed at this time as well.

Also in 2018, the whale tail installed in 1978 was swapped out for a year appropriate duck tail. It is a fiberglass ducktail. Comes with a color matched factory deck lid as well. Currently has the duck tail on. Pictures without the ducktail also included in the ad.
Carrera decals added in 2018. You can leave them on or remove them with a hair dryer if that’s not the look you want.
Interior is in amazing condition. No dash cracks, everything is beautiful.
Custom, authentic, coco mats, including rear mat for when back seats are down, purchased in 2018.
Original AM/FM radio works great and has the correct faceplate that was only for 1974 911 radios.
The clock is running slow if you’re looking for something to tinker with.
Correct spare tire air pump with the correct sponge feet on the pump as it should be for the 1973 to 1975 model year 911. These are very rare in comparison to the other, similar looking pumps for other years that have different, non sponge type “feet.â€
And, the original tool kit still has the original factory tag on it when you open it up. Plus, the factory gloves in the tool kit are unused.
Starts right up. She gets out once or twice a month currently to zoom around Palm Springs for a bit each trip.
The Porsche, as mentioned, sold new in Glendale California and lived for decades within a few miles of the selling Porsche dealer until I took her to my vacation home in Palm Springs, California in 2019.
In 2018, I did a 3 hour day trip from the Malibu Coast to 6000 feet altitude in the San Jacinto Mountains of California. No issues.
She had one long road trip with the original owners to Colorado and back to Los Angeles, California in the 1970’s.
Truly an amazing find to come across one in this incredible, rust free, mostly original paint, condition.
As a 911 collector for 30 plus years, I’ve greatly enjoyed so many aspects of this one over others. She will likely be one of those “I should not have sold that one, what was I thinking?â€
AC works.
The clean, California title is in my name. The California registration is good until May 2020.
