Here is a great opportunity to own one of the rarest and excellent example of the prestigious 1989 Porsche 928 GT. One of the rarest and most desirable 928's in the total years of Porsche's 928 flagship production, the '89 928 GT. Well kept, up to date maintenance, of one of Porsche's most iconic models! This 928 GT has been with me for the last 14 years about, the longest ownership. I think I am the 3rd or 4th owner according to records. Presently reside in Las Vegas area for the last couple of years. Prior to that, it's been a California car it's entire life. Always garaged and well kept maintenance records. Clean title & registration. Pink slip in hand. Clean CarFax record, no accidents or salvage. In the 14 years I've owned this car, I've put on only 25k miles, presently sits at 198k miles from 172k purchase reading. Runs strong and smooth. Never raced or rough driving. The "works", maintenance & repairs done 6k miles ago, was done by Precision Motorwerks, Greg Brown's Porsche shop which was down the hill from my house in Calif. GB, if you don't know, is one of the most respected, and well known "928" minds out there. So rest assure, mechanically, it's sound. (more read below of all the works done - water pump, timing belt, GB teflon fuel lines, etc). Most recent repairs were done 1500 miles ago, locally (Carl's Place, Brent), new brakes, rotors, and master & slave cylinders, hydraulic lines, as well a service, fluids, oil, done on 10/2015. That work was done by another well experienced 928 tech there! I've spent about $20k in the last 4 years going through most everything, mechanically. Most all the tough expensive areas have been taken care of. Runs excellent! This GT is currently running on 18" Black Carrera IV's from a P997. It looks great and are my fav. *But what's great (from pics below) is that I still have the original "RARE" Chrome Club Sport wheels & tires, which are lightweight and rare, especially the 8" fronts. They will come with this car as well, so you can switch it up if you desire. So in all, "2" sets of awesome wheels for the GT! There are also 2 factory car covers, one is a tan cloth, and a outdoor cover, in case, a silver nylon. Spare tire, tool kit in place. 2 manuals, including a rare 928GT manual as well. PS, PW, AC, rear AC, 8-Disc CD player, sub, 2 sets of keys, etc. Everything original. Original paint, and looks and shine great! Interior and dash is in very good condition, see pics. The center arm rest cup holder (in some early photos), has been cleanlyremoved. The paint looks great for 27 years, it does of course, have some minor paint chips here and there in a few spots Reason for selling: Need garage space and funds for another project going on. This is a great performance, running car! Hate to list, it but it's time to pass the torch. It's also a great investment considering it's one of Porsche's rarest 928's made, the 1989 928GT. The value on this car can only go up, common sense! One of the lightest weight of 928's out there, the short production (3 months), premiere year of the 928GT. Rumors has approx 50-75 '89 928GT's known. I am sure you will be proud to own and drive this classic! Payments: Will only take wire transfer to my bank account, or cash. If cashier check, it "must" clear first before releasing this car and title. Private party owner. | From web source: In 1989, Porsche ups the ante again, this time delivering a 'serious sporting machine for the solvent'. The GT is a special version featuring a revised 5.0 liter 330HP V8, sport suspension and all new seven-spoke Club Sport rims (note 1), the rears the widest yet from Porsche measuring 16 x 9" wide. As such, the GT comes only with a manual trans. Visually imperceptible but an improvement functionally, the shiftrod is shortened 1" from the manual S4. New low-pressure tire warning system is standard. From 959 technology, the 928 GT is fitted with an electronically controlled limited slip differential. The LSD has a progressively lockable multiplate clutch installed with the rear differential (note 2). A computer monitors wheelspin and clutches the affected wheel. Also new is a tire pressure warning system utilizing a pair of sensors integrated into each wheel. The wheels themselves made a change from the original Club Sport wheel in model year 1989 to the Design 90 style beginning in 1990. Price: $76,500 |
