Starting with the exterior the paint is original this car has never been repainted its 43 years old so has minor blemishes but still looks very good the body is very straight no dents has a handful of minor dings absolutely rust free no rust at all the decals are original and have patina definitely starting to show their age front and rear endura bumpers are not cracked or broken they are in very good shape. The interior is 100% original the original headliner is not sagging and is in excellent condition, the dash pad and bezel are in great shape and not cracked or have any discoloration, door panels are not cut do not have any holes and are no discolorated still intact are the arm rest and door handle bezels that are also in good condition, the seats are very nice no cuts Rips or burn marks the upholstery is original the original foam is still built up very comfortable and no low spots the carpet is original and in great shape has a couple of spots where it has wore out from the floor mats in the front area (pictures below) it still has the original GM rubber floor mats in good condition. The original radio works has aftermarket sony speakers that sound pretty good this car is equipped with factory GM air conditioning but was bypassed in the 80s for gas mileage everything is intact still my guess would be if you convert it to r134 it should work. This trans am has the 4.9L 301 v8 4 barrel that runs amazing starts right up no hesitation turn the key once and it fires up the automatic transmission shifts great no slips or leaks from the motor or transmission this trans am still has the original smog, this car has the original wheels which were repaint to be body color back in the 80s these original wheels are mounted to newer 225/75/15 tires this is probably one of the most original kept 1980 trans ams the odometer shows 49,475 miles and it is believed to be actual miles. Just recently we found the original built sheet under the back seat we kept the original alone and had a color copy laminated that way the new owner has their chose the laminate frame or put the original built sheet back under the seat and have the color copy in the window totally up to the new owner. This T/A had optional rear window louvers they were on the car since the 80s and have been removed recently but come with the car for the new owner to decide to leave them off or put them back on it will be in the trunk with a box of misc parts like the front license plate bracket. This car has been in the spokane area its entire life it sold new at Pontiac city downtown spokane and has been kept here since.
