This 1982 Firebird Coupe is a certified ONE OWNER, LOW MILEAGE vehicle, with only 44,663 original miles, and NO accidents or damage of any kind, ever. The basic specifications are: Firebird Base Coupe, 2.8 Liter V-6, Dual Exhausts, Automatic Transmission, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Windows, Air Conditioning, AM/FM/FM Stereo Radio with Cassette Player.
The car has been in storage due to a long term illness of its primary driver. Now the vehicle has been brought out, gone over thoroughly including a total exterior restoration with fresh paint, pinstriping, and of course adding the iconic Firebird to the hood.All tires have been replaced with new BF Goodrich Radial T/As, on American Racing Chrome wheels. Tires have less than 250 miles since installed.
The car has a new battery, part of the refresh after storage, which is now about 3 months old.The factory stock 2.8 Liter V6 engine has had the stock carburetor removed, cleaned and rebuilt upon coming out of storage. The exhaust system is the rare dual exhaust version, which was an after-market option for improved performance.
We replaced the headliner last year. The interior features the optional rear deck cover over the storage area just behind the rear seats, and the rear seatbacks drop down should you need to carry large luggage or other items in the back. Full set of floormats are in place. The interior is in great condition for a vintage vehicle.
The interior includes an accessory side map pocket on the driver side door, and the factory optional passenger side wallet in place of the glove box that these cars did not include. The radio is OEM AM-FM-FM Stereo with a cassette player, and is the factory original unit except all speakers are aftermarket upgrades replacing the OEM speakers we found to be unsatisfactory. This vehicle sold to us originally for a bit over $10,000.00, and has had another $6,500 of costs involved in the recent "refresh" process. Anything on the car that needed attention has been dealt with in the recent upgrade process, leaving it as close to factory fresh as it could be made to be. That being said, one must bear in mind that this is a 1982 Firebird, and a great example of one, but it is not a completely new car.
