This 1965 Pontiac Catalina is powered by a replacement 421ci V8 paired featuring Tri-Power induction and paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Finished in light metallic blue over black vinyl, the car was acquired by the selling dealer a year and half ago and has since received an oil change, a new battery, and a replacement soft top motor. This Catalina is now offered in California with uninstalled stock parts, an owner’s manual, a period dealer magazine, and a clean Oregon title.The exterior wears light blue metallic paintwork which was reapplied under previous ownership according to the selling dealer. Two chips are noted in the paint, and non-original 2+2 badges have been affixed to the trunk lid and quarter panels. The power-operated convertible top was serviced in June 2019.Factory eight-lug wheels are branded Pontiac Motor Division and wear 14″ whitewall tires. The power-assisted, single-circuit braking system features drums at all four corners.The interior is trimmed in black vinyl with matching carpets, rubber floor mats, and a dash accented with chrome trim. Equipment includes a period AM/FM radio, hand-crank windows and wing vents, lap belts, and an acrylic-rimmed steering wheel.Instrumentation consists of a horizontal 120-mph speedometer, centrally-located fuel and charging gauges ringed in chrome, and a clock. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows just over 35k miles, with actual mileage unknown.Originally equipped with a 389ci V8, the car is now powered by a 421 featuring a trio of two-barrel carburetors topped by individual air cleaners.Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission, and the dual exhaust system has been fitted with glasspack mufflers. This is a beautiful rust free professionally done 2+2 421ci clone. You will not be disappointed. Stored indoors and used occasionally for cruises around beautiful Santa Barbara.
