1967 Pontiac GTO

This for a real 67 drop top Pontiac GTO. I have had this car for over 20 years, it could be said we grew up together. I want the new owner to be happy with it so i am going to tell ya everything good and bad.First, The reason it is listed for such a low amount is that 1) it does have a bunch of rust that needs to be delt with 2) Its sporting a chevy 350 motor and 3) Its super custom and i know most folks want stock or expensive custom hot rods and this is neither. i always called it the mad max GTOLastly it was the car i learned how to do a lot of things on and or let my friends help me work on so some of the work done on it over the years wasnt done by professionals....A friend did the paint job about 10 years ago i did the upholstery on the seats almost 15 years agoand did the rest of the interior and rebuilt the dash all custom after someone tried to steal it 2 years ago.The long and short of it is that some of the work is old and needs to be redone some of it just wasnt done all that great to begin with. The good news is if you love the 67 convertible GTO and you wanna own a REAL one that runs steers shifts stops and burns rubber while looking bad ass and you dont have at least 60 thousand dollars , NOW IS YOUR CHANCE if you want to build yourself a show winning 67 drop top goat you can drop another 40 into this one and have one just as nice as any you can buy for 80-90 grand but have it exactly how you want it.here are some of the things ive done over the yearsOriginally it had bucket seats a 400HO motor and a 3speed floor man trans, i swapped out the buckets for a bench cuz i like my girl sitting next to me. About 10 years ago put on the american racing torq thrust D wheels For years this was my daily driver and i used to go between SF and LA twice a month for work so when the motor crapped out on me it made sense to put in a Chevy 350 and a tremec 6 speed man trans ( i went from 8mpg to almost 20mpg and parts were way cheaper) The motor was built from scratch by one of the last great speed shops in socal in Santa Monica This was less than 8 thousand miles ago. Also at the same time i converted the front drum brakes to disk brakes and added power steering. Its got an edlebrock intake manifold and carb as well as a hei distributorHere is a list of some of the other things i did to make it minehand formed copper dash bezel and full compliment of custom speed hut gauges, they look amazing at night!custom steel theft proof center console for kenwood dvd player and fuse box for all new wire harness.(i hated the old fuse box location and glass fuses are getting harder to find so when i installed the new wire harness i put the fuse box in a place you didn't have to stand on your head to get toBRAND NEW TOP (with motor and lines) i spent the extra cash and got the good quality one, its a month oldcustom vinyl door and kick panels ( i couldn't afford the reproductions and i think the pattern i found looks way cooler than stock)KONI ShocksAIRLIFT Bags inside rear springsTremec 6 speed manual transmissionPower steeringFront disk brakesCustom made aluminum gloveboxExtra 12v and usb power portsCustom switch combo code to start engine (if you dont know it aint ever gonna start)Hood locksElectric trunk releaselights in trunk and under hoodBattery isolaterfor extra batterySmoked LED headlights with running light and turn indicatorscustom steering wheelnew dash padTHINGS NOT WORKING OR UNFINISHEDi have the door locks and the sun visors but they are not installedhave not yet hooked up new speedo or gas gaugehood tach not workingblower fan for the heater-defroster not hooked upI WILL BE UPDATING THIS OVER THE NEXT FEW WEEKS AS I TRY TO GET MORE STUFF DONEi AM SELLING THIS DUE TO THE CURRENT PANDEMIC I AM OUT OF WORK
