1973 Pontiac Firebird

Yes Up for your consideration is a great old muscle car for restoration. Purchased from the second owner, this car, until 2017, had been stored away in a barn since 1980. Originally a 350 Formula, the original motor is long gone and it now has a 1976 400 block. This car overall is very solid and a great candidate for restoration. Although it has surface rust in several places, the only rust through seems to be on the left quarter panel and left trunk lip a little. The floors and trunk are solid as are the frame rails underneath. It is an original 4 speed car and it's original Hurst shifter is still in place. I couldn't verify whether the transmission is original or not. Original color per the "60" code on date plate was Valencia Gold with "233" saddle interior. Data plate has "W66" code confirming a true Formula model as does the "U" in the VIN.
The car has a newer gas tank and will run but one of the owners installed an electric fuel pump which is finicky sometimes. The brakes aren't working so it isn't driveable at the moment. The plastic interior panels are not brittle and are in good shape, they can easily be repainted to look new.The only panel missing is the right rear sail panel. The original dash pad is in excellent condition as is the steering wheel. It comes with some new window seals. It has a front spoiler and several end pieces that might be able to be saved as well. The previous owner was going to change the interior color to black and it comes with a new black carpet. It also has a new Edelbrock carburetor but an original Quadra jet comes with it. It originally had a/c but components are no longer with it.
I hope someone can bring this muscle machine back to its former glory and back to terrorizing the streets. Thanks for looking and happy bidding.

There was originally a reserve on this listing, but apparently ebay didn't save it and I didn't realize it until the first bid was placed. I don't want to end the listing early and redo it as I'm afraid I will lose all my details and have to start from scratch. If it doesn't meet my original reserve in a reasonable time, I will end it early and start over. Sorry for the inconvenience.
