Just a good honest old Astre SJ wagon which in my 30 plus years of collecting Pontiacs..this is the only one ive seen or driven so I bought it, had my fun and its time to move along to a new owner. I believe Ive addressed any flaws already but ask if you have any questions.You simply do not see these anymore..let alone in driver condition..period. Its no speed demon but you will not find a better econo cruiser with more character. If you dont like people asking questions, telling stories, giving you thumbs up and taking pictures of the SJ..this is not the car for you. Its been featured in an internet article when the previous owner had it, its been featured on the Lake George Adirondack Nationals Instagram page for the 2018 show (see pics).I do not have the heart to 'Put an LS in it" or alter it in any way.Is it Perfect...not at all. Is it Fun!! Oh Yes...kids and family loved it and we had a blast. Ive driven it anywhere and everywhere including an hour each way to work. Economical and dependable 140 cu in 2 bbl 4 cylinder rebuilt and sleeved by the previous owner...it was his baby, 4 spd manual with a good clutch, could use new linkage and shifter ball. All lights work but reverse which Im assuming is a switch I havent confirmed it. Brakes are good (manual disc front, drum rear) even ebrake works. Has tilt steering. The original drivers seat was compromised so I bolted a 2000 firebird power seat to the original unmodified seat frame. Im including the old seat and extra parts. You can drive this home!!
