the original 4.9 Turbo V8, If you have not driven a great Turbo 4.9, you will be very impressed when you slip behind the wheel. This car starts up with a great mellow sound. The motor is smooth and powerful. When the turbo is engaged, you can hear it spooling up. The performance is similar to later 400 CI. The transmission shift great and will bark second lose if you full engage it. The Air Conditioning is cold and the blower works well. All lights and gauges are functioning. Power windows go up and down with ease as well as the power trunk. The original stereo plays well and sounds surprising good. All Turbo indicator lights are functioning. The original wheels are in excellent conditioning and are fitted to BFG Radial TA tires. The exhuast sounds great through the chrome splitter exhaust tips. The WS6 handling package really make this car stand out from the crowd. Steering is tight and cornering and braking is excellent. You will be very impressed with the driving characteristic of this Special Trans Am.
