Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this 1980 Trans Am which is in stunning overall condition with very low "Actual" miles of 59,270. Miles shown on the odometer are Kilometers since the car was in Canada from new until 2017. The miles were properly converted while in customs and reflects as true miles on the Ohio title pictured above. This TA was sold new in Canada and was only driven in the summer months and properly stored during non summer months. It is extremely solid with zero rust anywhere on the car or under the car. There is not even a hint of rust anywhere on this TA which is seldom seen in these cars. This TA is very stock in appearance and mostly how it came from the factory. This Trans Am features show ready Factory Platinum Silver paint, a beautiful original Blue Deluxe cloth interior, the factory build sheet and several original dealer documents, and the original numbers matching 301 engine and original automatic transmission, see vin stamp photos above. This Trans Am is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Platinum Silver exterior (code 15) over Blue deluxe cloth interior (code 26B). This is the factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag and build sheet pictured above. Also included with this TA is the factory build sheet which was found behind the rear seat. The low "Actual" miles are not only verified by the beautiful condition of the car but also the Ohio title stating the miles as "Actual."
Exterior
The Platinum Silver exterior is in fantastic restored condition. This Trans Am was treated to a professional repaint in recent years and has a great shine and smooth finish. The paint is in splendid overall condition and both bumpers are in excellent shape with no flaking or faded paint. The lower bumper grills and nose emblem were replaced. The period day two added sunroof is in excellent condition and does not leak at all and has no rattles or squeaks while driving. It adds a lot of headroom inside the car and tons of fresh air while open cruising the roads. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but noting was intentionally excluded from the photos. Tires are almost brand new and have nearly full tread left and the OEM rally II wheels are fully restored and in like new condition. All weather stripping and window sweeps are like new and in great condition. Trunk is very solid and clean with the original space saver spare tire, original jack, and correct style trunk mat.
Interior
The Blue deluxe cloth interior of this Trans Am is in fantastic original condition. The original seat covers are in superb condition and have no rips or tears or seam splits and have no major wear at all. The carpet is like new and was recently replaced with no major stains, rips, or holes. The original dash is in excellent condition with no cracks or fading and the dash bezel is in near perfect condition as well. The original style AM/FM 8 track stereo is still in this TA and thankfully the dash has not been cut for a modern stereo. It plays very well and sounds great and the presets still work. The original door panels are in like new condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner is new and in great condition and the package tray and speaker grills are original and in great shape. The headliner was professionally installed and fits excellent around the added sunroof. All interior/exterior lights and gauges work as they should outside of the clock. The horn, stereo, wipers, blower motor, and turn signals also work. This car has not been smoked in; there is no smoke aroma what so ever. The amazing original condition of this TA and the light wear on the pedal pads is a true testament of the loving care this TA has received over the years and another example of the cars low actual miles.
Mechanical
This Trans Am is in great mechanical condition with only 59,270 "Actual" miles on the original 301 engine and transmission. We have driven this car numerous times around town and it always performs very well and is always a joy to drive. In the video one can observe this car running and driving with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs well. This Trans Am is an exceptional driver that feels great on the road and at highway speeds. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs great. The brakes work well and do not pull to either side. A new stock style exhaust system was recently installed, although the cat. converter was removed and replaced with a strait pipe. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. A lot of originality is still in place under the hood on this fantastic TA. Original factory stickers are still in place. Factory spark plug wires are still on this TA. Several hose clamps and hoses are original. The factory smog pump and emission canister are still in place. This is a factory non AC car which really cleans up the engine bay and a true nod to old school muscle.
