Cool 74 Trans Am!

1974 Pontiac Trans Am

This is a 74 Trans Am with a 73 nose. I do not have the original. It is NOT a SD. It was stickered that way when I purchased it. It does have a 455 in it with a turbo 400 trans. The original 400 is long gone. I bought this car out of Kansas City. This a not a rust belt car. The car is remarkably clean from rust. The floors, rockers, truck pan are all great. I have had rusty cars in the past and I am all done with that. Look at the pics. It has PW A/C (no belt on it, but its all there and has pressure in the lines) The motor runs great. No smoke. No knocks. No oil leaks. I do not have any of the details on the motor build. It is a mid 70s engine.

I am not the original owner and cannot speak to its history. It is a 44-year-old car and I think it’s in great shape!

It has an older paint job that actually has held up well and looks pretty good. But it does have its share of dings and scratches. I uploaded as many pictures as I could to show the car. It has a newer 2.5 stainless dual exhaust. I am not a huge fan of the sound, and I will include the Flowmaster mufflers that came off. I consider this a great driver and not a show car, though I do take it to local shows and cruises. The top of the rear bumper cover has a number of paint cracks which is typical. The front spoilers show the age also. There is some bubbles on the rear quarter behind the tires.The drop offs are perfect. Rear bumper area is perfect.

Interior appears to be original and in nice shape. No tears on the seats that I have seen. There are aftermarket gauges for temperature and oil pressure. I didn't install them; I prefer to use the factory set up. But that's me. It has a CD player in the console and sounds great. Tires are nice and have a fair bit of tread on them.

This car is a blast to drive and I get a thumbs up every time I take it out. I would trust this to drive anywhere. This is a great driver car. If you are looking for a mint perfect car this isn't it and the price reflects that. These cars are going up in value and is a safe investment. When is the last time you have seen one? Drive it as is and enjoy it like I do.
