Description:
1972 Pontiac Le Mans
I bought this car about a year ago and wanted to throw a70 model ram air hood and put a fin on the trunk with a nice paint jobbut never did. This is a good car and the guy was driving it daily for a little over a year while he was on base stationed in texas. He was fixing it up a little at a time while he was driving it.Its got a V8 in it either a 350 or a 400 not sure but runs very good and is a strong car, I'm not sure how many mile it has since all the gauges were replaced but I'm sure it has been rebuilt or at least at some point it runs too good. The motor has a Holley Aluminum Intake on it with a Demon Electric Choke Carb. Car has Headers with Dual Exhaust,Flex Fan,New Radiator,HEI Dist,Chrome M/T Valve covers and etc.3 Speed Automatic Tranny and not sure on the gears in the axle. This lemans has Factory Power-Steering and Factory Air Conditioning but the compressor and brackets are missing and the ac control head is in the trunk when they put the new bezel in they didn't put it back in and the car has Factory Disc Brakes!!!All the glass is good and the windshield is new and has tint on the sides and rear. The front and back window trim is just sitting on the car and the front is missing just the drivers side piece but you can buy them there cheap. The wheels were upgraded to a17 inch American Racing and the tires don't have hardly any miles on them. The tires are a 235/55/17 and has new shocks. The interior is pretty much all new with New Door Panels,New Carpet,New Dash Bezel, but needs a dash pad on top and replaced the front seatswith a nice pair of Pro-Touring Racing Seats that recline and there are some brand new seatbelts in the trunk for the rear passengers I just never put them in! All the old gauges were replaced with nice brand new white face gauges and they are all hooked up and accurate and also has a nice B/M Shifter that works great. Really the main thing this car needs is some bodywork and another paint job, they took it to a cheap paintjob place just to get by until he could get a better one but they didn't prime it or do any body work so it looks bad and is chipping and bubbling in places where its bare with no primer under it. If someone would sand this car down and block it with some paint this car would bring some serious money and would be a head turner. Its got a few spots on the lower normal spots of the bottom of the body like the rockers andaspot on the lower door but not bad. This car would be perfect for someone that had a body shop or new a little about bodywork and paint because it could be a really nice car. I wanted to do it all pearl black and install fuel-injection to the motor and make it a nice cruiser but going to finish my other ride so decided to put this one up forsale. If your looking for a cool muscle car to enjoy this would be a good one since its all pretty much good other then needing a better paint job its a cool 46 yr old muscle car that's going up and up in value and would be a good car to start with.
