1965 Pontiac GTO Le Mans Tribute
This is a 1965 Le Mans that has been updated as a GTO Tribute Car with all the correct equipment and trim. This car has been taken apart and rebuilt with original pieces and reproduction parts.
This GTO Tribute has a 1966 389 V-8 with a four-barrel Carter Carburetor and 1965 valve covers and air cleaner. It was completely rebuilt and has been driven only about 2,000 miles since the car was finished. It is equipped with Power Steering and power brakes. The front brakes have been upgraded to later year discs and it stops on a dime! The steering gear box has been rebuilt and upgraded to a quicker-ratio unit. The transmission is a NEW Super-Muncie with heavy duty wide-ratio gears and large arbor (M-22) input and output shafts. The original rear differential was rebuilt and a new Auburn Posi-traction unit with 3.55 gear ratio was installed.
The body has been finished in the original 'Burgundy" color with no pin stripe. Another gallon of the paint will be included with the vehicle. The interior is new black from Ames Performance. The steering wheel is new and the original clock (included) has been replaced with a reproduction Tachometer. The Hurst shifter has been rebuilt by Hurst and it is a joy with the new Super-Muncie.
The original exhaust manifolds have been retained and has glass-packs that provide a loud but enjoyable sound. It has a new tinted windshield and all other glass is original.
Most everything on the vehicle has been rebuilt and receipts will be provided to the new owner. An example is that the wheels are new 14X6 inch with new lug nuts. It has rear sway bar and reinforced lower control arms. There is much more that could be listed.
