1967 Pontiac GTO

This is my amazing GTO, which has received a recent body-off, every-nut-and-bolt type ground-up restoration. It's a legit GTO with a "242" VIN number. The car was sourced by, purchased and completely professionally restored by Carlisle Customs and Classics in PA, who started by completely disassembling the car, sand blasted and powder-coated the frame, which is the foundation for this amazing GTO. The engine is a non-numbers-matching 1970 455 that was professionally built by the premier Pontiac mill builder Jim Taylor Engine Service in PA. No expense was spared, as evidenced by the 3-inch thick pile of receipts that add up to approximately $150,000! The car features the best of everything, including Vintage Air air conditioning which blows ice cold, a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission, a Griffin aluminum radiator, a rebuilt posi rear axle, disk brakes up front, a brand new interior including all new weatherstripping, carpet, upholstery, all new glass, power steering, power brakes, stainless steel exhaust, ceramic coated Doug's headers, American Racing wheels, the list goes on and on and on! But the best part about this car is: it's drop-dead gorgeous and it starts, runs, steers and stops better than it did in 1967! The bodywork is absolutely laser straight which the mile-deep black paint shows off brilliantly. There is no orange peel in this paint, it's been cut and buffed to show quality.
Since completion in 2014, this car has seen very limited time on the road, being driven for a few pleasure drives and a few local "Caffeine and Cars" type shows, where it drew a large crowd of admirers. The car will blow away the crowd at ANY show, it's THAT gorgeous and well built. The attention to detail jumps out and the execution of the work is impeccable. And with the potent 455ci big block under the hood, this car has the "go" to match it's "show"!
The car comes with a fitted silk cover, and of course all of the receipts, Pontiac Historic Services documentation, as well as a few DVD's that document the build process!
I have many more photos if you'd like them, and can take more of whatever you'd like. I have a 4-post lift here at my house, so I welcome anyone that wants to come inspect this beautiful black 4-speed, 455 big-block show quality GTO!
