Description:

1967 Pontiac GTO

First I would like to get this off my chest. I have owned this baby for43 years and always swore that I was going to pass it on to my kids.

Well, as they have grown into adults I have realized that they really have very little interest in it and would never love it the way I have. Done

OK. This car is obviously the real deal 242 code GTO with the 400 YS code 4bbl and the Turbo 400 tranny with the his and hers shifter.

It has the original rear with a new 3:73 posi unit. Wanted a little more hit on the start.

I hadthis carprofessionallyrestored in 2009(by a very high end shop).

We did a frame off rotisserie restoration at a cost of near 60K and the car was very nice when I brought it in.

Anybody who has ever paid to havea cardone knows how fast the money goes. Every nut and bolt and mechanical system, everything was replaced or restored. 2 years to finish.

We did some upgrades such as front power disc brakes, MSD Ignition, close ratio steering gear box, rear gear upgrade, all stainless lines, on and on.

I have only put 1800 miles on it since the restoration so the bugs have been shaken out but as you can see I don't get to drive it much.

Original color combination and of course I have PHS documentation.

Back in 1983 I spun a bearing in the original matching #'s motor and scraped it (nobody knew 30 years ago it mattered) and bought a 1970 YS code GTO motor for it.

This is what is in it now. Again, everything is fresh on this car, motor, tranny, rear, interior, everything.

I'm not going to go nuts trying to list all the parts and work but it is all new. Yes there are some personal touches but if you're a purist they could be reversed.

I have every original part that was taken off or replaced and they all go with the car. A good pick up truck load of stuff.

My reserve is realistic, I do understand that you will never get your money back when doing a restoration to this level, but that was never a consideration.
