Closer examination revealed that although the two cars were definitely siblings, host of changes had taken place, o much so that only the doors were bolt-for-bolt interchanges between the two years. Basic contours remained the same, ith relocated bolt holes and altered cut outs marking the differences between the two model years."

For sale by owner is this cool custom 1950 Plymouth. According to him, he car started life in California as a standard Plymouth with a 6 cylinder engine. The car was brought to Illinois in 2004 and was transformed into the 50's style street rod you see here. Completed in 2012, t was built to replicate the kind of car you might see cruising the streets in the 50's. The top was chopped 4" with the original glass leaned forward. The body was dechromed, he door handles were shaved and it was painted a beautiful base coat/clear coat Mack Truck Red. The original 6-cylinder engine has been rebuilt with dual Carter Carburetors and an Offenhauser dual intake manifold. This car was featured in a local hot rod publication (Ledfoot News) in January 2015 and also a local news paper. What follows are some of the details.
