A limited run of 2,724 AAR's were built in 1970 of whichonly 1,604 came with theautomatic transmission. This one came with a column shift front bench seat making it even morerare. This is a genuine article, A53 Package, 1970 Plymouth AAR Cuda. It has never been restored. I did have it repainted the original green but it was not a professional job. The passenger front fender had been replaced and painted before I bought the car but the original paint was enamel so the lacquer crazed. This car was on the drag strip and saw limited street use.It has been in my possession for over 15 years being stored inside the whole time. This AAR is in great shape and will be an easy restoration as it is not a rust bucket. It already has had the passenger side sheetmetal replace due to some dents and small rust. When I acquired the car, it was an uncut former drag race car. I purchased the car with the intent of restoring it back to 100% original specifications but unfortunately, other priorities have taken precedence. If my reserve is met I will sell it. The car has been in dry, indoor storage since I acquired it.The car is titled to me (Clear South Carolina title), has both original fender tags in excellent condition (see photo). The original color was Ivy Green. Interior is green with a front bench seat with a center fold down armrest and Rallye dash assembly. The car comes with the vast majority of the original (and nearly impossible to source) parts it was born with. I had purchased a headliner kit from Legendary Auto Interiors many years ago, alight seal kit and a green carpet (has stain on it) that comes with the car. There are many spare parts both original and reproduction that also come with the car. There are some missing items. The original intakeair cleaner is gone and the front wheel well splash shields are gone.Replacements areavailable from the aftermarket today. The original special AAR cylinder heads (offset pushrod thru holes) still wear remnants of the factory orange enamel they were painted with when new. They are in good shape but I suggesthardened exhaust seats. The car rolls and will come with I believe to be 1970's Police Wheels (15" x 7") which are actually becoming quite expensive these days. Reproduction Rally wheels are easily sourced today. It has been an extremely difficult decision for me to sell this car. It is my favorite muscle Mopar of all time and a car I've been infactuated with since I was a small boy. This is a rare chance to get your hands on a real-deal AAR that has never been restored and has matching numbers and many desirable options. The car is located at my home in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The buyer will be responsible for picking up the car in South Carolina. I recently saw anotherAAR'Cuda go off on Ebay for $36,600 in what I consider very poor condition. I've decided that if my reserve is met I will let it go. Look up Ebaysold item number: 132259331118 to see the recently sold AARI'm referring to. Look at Ebay 362114235430 for acurrent restored Ivy Green AARstill at auction.
