1970 Plymouth Barracuda Cuda
1970 Plymouth Cuda (Original and Unrestored) Virginia vehicle. This is a rare barn find and a great car to restore. A high school friend of mine bought this car new in Charlottesville, Va. on 3/30/1970 and owned it until 3/6/2004. I purchased this car on 5/26/2016 from the 2nd owner with intentions to restore, however things have changed and it is for sale. I have the original window sticker, original factory build sheet, consumer information sheet from factory, warranty papers, DMV receipt from original purchase, and a copy of the original Virginia title. All body and trim tags are on car however fender tag is rusty. Again, I have original build sheet and window sticker.
The options on this Cuda include; 383 4 bbl, heavy duty suspension, heavy duty 11 inch brakes, hood tie down pins, torqueflite transmission, console with floor shifter, rallye road wheels, undercoating, tinted windshield, bucket seats, vinyl roof-black, sure grip differential, exhaust tipsand solid state am radio. Original cost of car was $3,791.35
The car was repainted once in the late 80's back to it's original blue color. The engine is original to the car as is the transmission. Engine turns over fine, I have not tried to start it because of the old gas in the tank. It was running fine when parked, last inspection was in 1990. In Virginia 25 year old cars with vintage plates don't require state inspection.
The car has some rust as can be seen in the photos with the worst area around the rear window. There is no rust around the front windshield. The bottom side and frame ofthis car is very nice and solid. The driver side floor pan has a small rust spot (see photos) and the trunk pan has 2 small rust spots. Carpet removed after I purchased it. Wheels and trim are original to the car, tires are old and need replacing.
