1975 Plymouth Voyager Sport 5 Passenger Window Van - Similiar to Dodge Sportsman
1975 Plymouth Voyager Sport 5 Passenger
I have too many projects and too many cars. In the double digit figure.......I need to make room and must sell this Van. I bought it last May and Drove it home trouble free from St Louis, Missouri to Augusta, Maine. I wouldn't take it on a trip like that again until the tires were replaced and the fuel line was checked. It's running and driving but stalls sometimes going up hills. It has a new fuel pump, but it might be a carb issue. It's fine right now riding around town, but I still wouldn't drive it across country with out new tires and checking the fuel line and carb. It's still has it's dealer installed AM/FM Stereo with Cassette player and it functions, (not all the speakers work but at least one does)
That all being said, this is extremely rare, a Plymouth Van. This is the Plymouth version of the Dodge Sportsman. Only a handful are known to have survived. This was purchased new in March of 1975 from Glendale Chrysler Plymouth Imperial. It was part of the Car Clearance Carnival Campaign that was going on in February and March of 1975. (check out youtube.com and Joe Garagiola)
There is not much to say, it's one owner, rust free, solid and well built, very tough. All Original, no body work, no paint, no major damage, just a old Van owned by one person since new. It appears that he had a trailer and took camping trips in the car. There is a dent in the rear bumper. I've replaced the side marker lamps with NOS. The Van passed the Maine Safety inspection with flying colors. I've driven it about 2,000 miles this Summer.

They certainly don't make them like they use to. This is equipped with three ash trays, one for the driver and front passenger and two in the back for the kids.
It could use a new carpet inside, they are available on Ebay. I would paint the roof too. the color is Avocado Brown and Light Gold, just like the vehicle on the original Dealer's Brochure. I also purchased a Dash Pad to cover a crack in the dash. I replaced the Plymouth Scripts on the door with NOS.
This car is in the State of Maine which is a NO TITLE State. A Title Letter will be provided from the State of Maine Department of Motor Vehicles stating that the car is free and clear and owned by myself. This letter will be accepted by any DOV or Title registration company or agency to create a Title. Maine like some other USA States doesn't issue title on vehicles this old. I also have the Missouri Title signed by the original owner earlier this year (yes, he's still alive).
