1969 Plymouth Road Runner

IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A PROJECT CAR THAT WILL APPRECIATE IN VALUE -THIS IS IT!! MY INFORMATION SHOWS THAT ONLY 1889 TOTAL '69 ROAD RUNNER CONVERTIBLES WERE MADE AND ONLY 769 4 SPEED CARS!!I am a Chrysler dealer since the '60's who just sold his dealership and am losing the lease on my storage shed. I have owned this car since the early '90's. We overhauled a '69 383 engine (non numbers matching) for it in 1991 but never installed it or even started it (repair orders are shown below). We also had located a correct Carter 4 barrel carb. and overhauled it as well. It is included.
In '09 I had sheet metal replaced and patched as necessary and the entire car primed to protect it (see the pictures). The trunk floor is still original - which shows that the condition of the car before the work was quite good (very little rust). In fact, it appears that the factory paint still remains on the engine compartment and other areas!
The factory Data Plate (showing the VIN number, build date, color, trim and equipment, etc.) is still on the car. In fact, it is one of the best examples of how the factory installed the data plate I've ever seen. One screw shows the factory paint because the plate was screwed on with one screw and then bent over so the painting process covered both the data plate and the inner fender below it. The other screw is not painted because it was installed after the body was painted. If you look carefully at the picture you can even see the "bend mark" in the plate! The radiator support also still shows the "last six of the VIN" stamped into it - so it is original as well.
The original color is "R4 Performance Red". It left the factory with white top and white interior and a white side stripe (spring special) that is 'fluorescent'.HOW COOL WILL THIS CAR BE WHEN DONE?!!!
The "parts car" is a rolling body with many original parts still intact. It will be a valuable resource for helping to put the convertible together. The car was "T-Boned" on the driver's side many years ago, so in my opinion is non-restorable - but I'm sure cars in worse shape have been restored so who knows. It has no engine or transmission, but the data plate is still there (as pictured). I have no titleto the parts car.
