OLD 1937 PACKARD 120C BARN FIND SURVIVOR LOW ORIGINAL MILES
1937 Packard Deluxe Eight
This is Old Packard 120 C has the 282 straight 8 with 3 speed floor shift. Very low original miles 30,355. A true survivor with original paint and interior. The paint has some older touch up from decades ago with the original lacquer showing some older dry cracking which adds great old patina, which also is expected on a 81 year old paint job from the factory. Runs like a Swiss watch.
I just drove this car over 80 miles on our last nice sunny day this November and she ran beautiful with not a puff of smoke with nice cool temperature all day at 170 degrees. Rides like you're floating on a cloud. Original paint still shines very nice. Some of the windows have delaminated as seen in the photos which also adds great original character. Check out the old red AAA $50,000 dollar reward tag that is under the front passenger floor board carpet. This red AAA reward tag is usually never found with the sequential number 3686 for this Packard in 1937.
The car guys at the car shows love this cars original condition and say "don’t ever restore this car". The interior while stored in the barn was attacked by moths. I purchased army gray wool blankets for seat covers and they work great over original mohair seats.
This old Packard is solid rust free from day one. The running boards, hood ornament and bumpers are in high grade condition. I just installed a brand new fuel pump, brand new brakes, spark plugs, all new fluids, carpet, and battery with all receipts. Also has battery kill switch. You will notice the original dated motor, original trans and rear end photographed. All numbers matching. Also you will notice the oil change stickers showing mileage and dates and last inspection sticker 1972. WOW! 47 years old. As you can see from the Gulf oil change stickers. The car had 20,200 miles in 4/1/67 and had roughly 30,000 miles in 1972, 5 years later. The car was only driven roughly 10,000 miles in those 5 years.
Once again this Packard is spotless rust free. Everyone that sees this car loves the old originality survivor look, as I said with great 81 year old patina. The Godfather look part 4. All gauges work, fuel, charging, oil pressure with great 40 lbs of oil pressure, temperature gauge, speedometer, odometer, and clock. Beautiful original steering wheel, old white wall tires with like new tread. Several nice options, rear trunk, back up reverse light, Packard fog lights, bumper guards, and rare Packard stainless exhaust tip with Packard emblem. The directionals left and right work great along with headlights, high and low beam with new bulbs just installed. Doors open and shut like new.
Too much to list!!! Truly a great survivor that everyone loves at the car shows. I only know of five of these 1937 Packard 120C models for sale in national advertising right now including EBay and all five start around $39,900 to $55,000 in various stages of condition. Just Google this Packard model 120C and you will see most advertised around the USA. I'm asking a very fair price of $16,500 or best offer. As most old classic car collectors know the original survivors are highly sought after and are bringing big money at most all classic car auctions and private sales. Like they say...They are only original once. When these old cars are restored you never know what's under the new paint jobs and body work. I would leave this old Packard all original and just drive it and enjoy it without spending any money. Just get in and have fun.
I have this old Packard in my private collection in heated dehumidified storage for the winter. Please call me for full details. I have all you will need for DMV with the title and registration for new ownership. I know I have most likely missed some info and you are welcome to call.
