1966 FORD MUSTANG GT FASTBACK NICE!
1966 Ford Mustang
You are viewing my wife's 1966 Mustang GT fastback. This is a very nice older restoration. She purchased the car in 2004 and it had been recently restored before she bought it. I would say the restoration of the was about a 9 out of 10 at the time. Very nice, but the paint is not perfect. The car has been garaged kept the entire time since it was restored. It looks almost as good as the day she bought it. My wife is older now and has decided to sell the Mustang and let someone else enjoy it since she rarely drives it anymore. At the time of restoration the Mustang was rebuilt mechanically including the engine and trans, new exhaust, brakes, front end and new wheels and tires. The body had minimal rust and was painted in this beautiful Turquoise. There is some body filler at the bottoms of the original rear quarters. There is some bubbling at the bottom of the passenger front fender. Underneath the floors appear to be all original with no patches. An all new interior was installed and all new chrome on the outside. All glass is good.As best as I can tell this is an original A code GT Fastback in it's original Tahoe Turquoise color with a parchment color interior. This is a striking color combination and gets compliments all the time when we are out in it. The car has power disc brakes on the front and power steering. It also has the fold down rear seat. The tires are Michelin Defender tires that are only a few years old with little mileage. It runs well and does not smoke or burn any oil. There are a few minor issues with the car in full disclosure. It is fairly hard to start if it sits for more than a few days. You need to prime the carb. The carb is a brand new high dollar unit that still needs a little tuning to hopefully make the car start easier. There is some very minor rust in the rear wheel well areas and the some in the divider between the rear interior and the trunk. There are a few defects in the paint. The worst ones are shown in the pictures. Never bothered us much. When turning the steering at a stop or very low speed there is a slight chatter. Haven't been able to figure out what that is. Lastly, there is a small trans leak that I will try to figure out before the auction is over. Please understand that I am being picky so whoever buys the car will be happy. I have a reasonable reserve on this Mustang and only serious buyers should bid. I will not accept bids from "0" feedback ebayers. This is a nice car and the winning bidder will be happy with it. I expect full payment within 7 days so please have your funds available. Any questions, you may call Barry at 336-830-6066.
