1965 Mustang Fastback

When we purchased this fastback several years ago, it was basically a shell. We bolted on the doors, trunk lid and front fenders. When we purchased the car, a couple of exterior panels had been replaced (engine bay and panel below rear window) and a portion of the floor pans (front) replaced. We provided numerous photographs underneath the car while we had it on the lift. There is still some original undercoating on the rear seat pans. The quarter panels are solid. There is a wrinkle in the rear section of the driver's side quarter panel. We purchased a panel to replace this section but it is not installed. The original doors line up good; however, I was not happy with the exterior shell on the driver's door where it lines up with the front fender. I purchased a reproduction driver's shell and it is included. I thought about reskinning a new panel on the outside of the original door. We had an original 65-66 stock hood. About a year ago, a friend of ours who restored a 1966 green Hurst Shelby found the original hood for the car after he had painted another Shelby style hood with the car. I purchased this other hood from him and it is included with the car. It is the 65-66 shelby style hood and this one has the metal frame underneath. It is painted green with gold shelby stripes now but it is a nice looking hood.

The fastback has a 289 motor built to hipo specs, hipo harmonic balancer, screw in studs on heads with roller rocker arms, hipo dual point mechanical advance distributor (freshly built), comp cam (have card with specs), Holly 670 with vacuum secondaries, high performance fuel pump, ceramic coated tri-Y headers. The transmission is a top loader 4-speed with hurst shifter, 9" rear end with 324 gears. We installed an oversized 19 gallon gas tank with new gas lines. We installed a 3-core aluminium radiator. The front and rear suspension components have been completely replaced with new parts. We added subframe connectors. We installed 4 piston caliper disk brakes in front. Dual master cylinder with new brake lines.

There are a lot of new and original parts that come with the car. We have all of the original fastback interior trim panels. We sourced a 65 Shelby style rear package tray for the interior. I provided a photograph to show that the interior fastback panels are complete for the rear of the interior. I provided a photograh to show the headlight buckets, headlight doors, grill, moldings, etc. The headlight buckets do not have any broken tabs. There are too many parts to list within this description block. I prepared a list categorized into Engine/Transmission/Suspension, Weatherstrips, Interior and Exterior parts with parts number and more detailed descriptions. I scanned them in and included them in the last 3 photographs. I have the original door tag.

Bidders that have no feedback will not be accepted. I have sold and purchased many cars on EBay and I do not believe in wasting time. If you have a question, please ask and I will get you a prompt response. We request that the winning bidder within 48 hours give us a reasonable deposit on completion of the auction. We are in Little Rock. Depending on location of winning bidder, we have a car trailer and can assist with transport within a reasonable distance.

This car is being relisted. Some hateful person hit the Buy It Now (within 8 hours of starting the auction last week) who had no intention of purchasing the car, messaging me or responding to my messages. I have removed the Buy It Now key.
